Plans to prosper

Your Heavenly Father loves you.

Let that sink in for a moment.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

God is truly good and so are His plans for you. Let this truth dwell in your heart. Even when you feel as though your life is falling apart or that things are just too overwhelming, remember that the Lord also has a plan and that His plan is good. It is not His will for you to be harmed, depressed or abused. So if you are currently going through these things, know assuredly that He will bring you out.

Hope truly brings light to our soul. It gives us something to look forward to, something to aim towards and live for. All our hopes should be found in Christ as these are the only hopes that are guaranteed.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. (Proverbs 13:12, NLT)

It is so important that we allow God to reveal His plans to us so that we can begin to cooperate with Him by faith. When we know that the Lord has a good plan for us, we are more likely to endure our hard times, growing better and not bitter.

If you have not yet taken the time to allow the Lord to reveal His plan for your life, then today is the perfect time to start. At 17 years old, the Lord revealed to Joseph (in a dream) that one day he would be a leader over his brothers (Genesis 37). The plan God showed him as a teenager kept him going through all his hard times of betrayal, slavery and imprisonment that he faced over the next 13 years of his life. The plan God revealed to him as a teenager gave him HOPE. It gave him a FUTURE.

We all need hope and that is exactly what the plan of God will give us. Why don't you seek the Lord today? Ask Him to reveal to you His plan for your life...

[Written 27th March 2014] I've heard the following phrase spoken often; "if you're too busy to pray, then you're too busy". This morning I actually want to encourage you to see this as true. If someth
