Alive or life

To be alive and have life are two separate things. If you are living and breathing, you are alive, but to have “life” you must possess LIFE Himself.

11 And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12, NLT)

To have blood flowing through your veins means that you are alive, albeit temporarily. However, to have the blood of the Saviour is to possess eternal life. Do not be fooled, there is no other way to gain this life - true life. Unless we have Christ and are in Him, we may be alive, but we do not have life.
