I've heard the following phrase spoken often; "if you're too busy to pray, then you're too busy".
This morning I actually want to encourage you to see this as true. If something is a priority to you, you will make room and sacrifices for it to happen. Spending time with God should be our number one priority. Our number one job is to be His sons. But if we're not taking the time to allow His Spirit to lead us and transform us how can we do this?
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14, KJV)
Don't be fooled. Doing lots of "good" or "successful" things may look good to the onlooker, but it doesn’t mean that it is His perfect will for you.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1 – 2, KJV)
We know that His will is for His Kingdom to come in the earth as it is in heaven, as this is the way that Jesus said we should pray.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10, KJV)
We also know that the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
